Dr. Schaefer joined Midwest Plastic Surgery in 2007 after completing his plastic and reconstructive surgery training in Atlanta, Georgia.  His areas of focus include all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, eyelid and facial cosmetic surgery, surgical removal and reconstruction for the treatment of skin cancers, fat-grafting techniques for reconstructive and cosmetic applications, body contouring,  hand and microsurgery, and general trunk and lower extremity reconstructive surgery.

Formerly an engineer, Dr. Schaefer draws on his visuo-spacial skills and technical expertise in an effort to constantly achieve better, less invasive, and more predictable outcomes from surgery.
