LIP ENHANCEMENT
Procedure Description
Lip enhancement adds fullness to the shape and size to the lips, by injecting
biocompatible materials into the lips. In some cases, tissue is surgically moved
from the inner lip to add fullness to the outer lip.
There are two types of injections in lip enhancement surgery, collagen and fat
injections. Collagen injections are temporary and will last a few months. The
results of fat injections can be permanent, but sometimes the procedure needs
to be repeated until the desired result is achieved.
Surgery and Recovery
The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia and patients go home
the same day. Injections result in temporary swelling of the lips that lasts
7-14 days. Surgical advancement procedures leave scars inside the lips.
Please schedule a complimentary consultation and examination so we can discuss the risks
and benefits of this procedure and determine if a
lip enhancement is right for you.
Please note, any patient
considering cosmetic plastic surgery procedures should be in overall
good health and currently a non-smoker.
