ARM LIFT (Brachioplasty)

Procedure Description
If you have excess skin and a little fat on your upper arms, whether a result of significant weight loss, or simply from the aging process, you could be a good candidate for brachioplasty.

Brachioplasty takes the excess skin and fat from the upper arms and surgically removes it, leaving a scar on the inside of the upper arm. Sometimes, liposuction can be used to reduce the length of the scar.

Surgery and Recovery
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, and patients go home the same day. It takes approximately 5-7 days for discomfort to gradually go away, and it's suggested that patients take one week off of work for recovery. Strenuous activity is avoided for 3-4 weeks.

Scars are left on the inner part of the upper arm from the armpit to the elbow, and will lighten over a
6-12 month period.

Please schedule a complimentary consultation and examination so we can discuss the risks
and benefits of this procedure and determine if an brachioplasty is right for you.

Please note, any patient considering cosmetic plastic surgery procedures should be in overall good health and currently a non-smoker.
